Vandaag is voedsel verdeeld onder zeer arme families in Solepura. Ze zijn allemaal voor hun inkomen afhankelijk van arbeid. Alles is stil gevallen door de Coronacrisis. Ze hebben geen inkomen meer. Vandaag was er weinig tijd om de pakketten uit te delen, vanwege de avondklok. Father Ajith slaagde erin om voedsel aan de noodlijdende mensen te overhandigen. Het voedselpakket wat zij ontvingen rijst, meel, graan, kruiden, aardappelen, uien, suiker, thee, melkpoeder en zout. Het lukte om een kokosnoot, jackfruit en mango’s toe te voegen aan het voedselpakket. De stichting maakte geld over om deze voedselpakketten uit te delen op verschillende plekken.
Het zal de komende weken nog hoog nodig zijn om voedsel aan de allerarmsten te verstrekken, zodat zij niet omkomen van de honger door de Coronacrisis.

April 9, 2020: Food packages are distributed in Solepura
Today food is distributed to very poor families in Solepura. They all depend on labor for their income. Everything has come to a halt due to the Corona crises. They have no income anymore. Today there was little time to hand out the packages because of the curfew. Father Ajith managed to hand over food to the needy. The food package they received was filled with rice, flour, grain, spices, potatoes, onions, sugar, tea, powdered milk and salt. Father Ajith managed to add a coconut, jackfruit and mango to the food package. The foundation transferred money to distribute these food packages in various places. It will still be necessary in the coming weeks to provide food to the poorest of the poor so that they will not starve to death due to the Corona crises.
